Farley Hill Parks Consultation
Northdrift Way and Hagdell Road Pocket Parks
These Pocket Parks are going to be a wonderful green oasis for the local community.
Both will feature a stunning central piece of artwork, play equipment for toddlers, outdoor gym equipment and plenty of seating and parking.
But first and foremost they’ll have flower, fruit and veg beds.
It’s hoped these will encourage residents to get involved in community gardening projects while providing them with free training in growing their own fruit and veg.
The main aim is to bring families together and give children an opportunity to play locally safely.
The consultation closing date is Wednesday 23rd June.

Farley Neighbourhood Park
Farley Hill residents are about to see their dreams become a reality when plans for Farley Neighbourhood Park come to fruition.
It was one of the most popular projects during the 2020 consultation and is seen as a beautiful green legacy for the community.
Farley Neighbourhood Park will be situated on Farley fields in Stockwood Park, one of the biggest urban parks in Luton.
Community Orchard
We consulted with the community last February and many people told us they would like us to plant a community orchard, with fruit trees and nut bushes in the green field behind Felmersham Court / Opposite Jill Jenkins Court. It would take some time to reach maturity and so we would plan to gate it off with some fencing. This would be a great way for neighbours to work together to produce fresh fruit for the local people and would be a great opportunity for residents to volunteer. We hope to start recruiting volunteers when it is safe to do so in line with the government guidelines.
The Community Orchard consultation is now closed.
We hope to start work soon – could you please answer the following questions to help Farley Big Local with the project delivery.
Farley Forest Garden
The Farley Forest would be located on the green strip down Whipperley Way. We have included a concept design for you to see exactly where the project will be developed. People suggesting the project said they would like to see many fun features to create a magical woodland space for families to enjoy. Ideas include some seating, play equipment, bespoke carved archways and many other fun features.
